Please add this wiki to your bookmarks or favourites, because this term we will be using this wiki to publish what we learn from studying videogames.
You (yes, YOU) will be working on this wiki in class, creating a 'mini-encycolpedia' about what we study (just like Wikipedia...see, 'wiki'+'encyclopedia'...are you with me ??)
Still scratching your head, and not really sure what a 'wiki' is? Check out this definition from Wikipedia:
A wiki is a collection of web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified markup language. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. The collaborative encyclopedia, Wikipedia, is one of the best-known wikis.
July 30: I believe all students have now been added as writers to this wiki. See me or post a comment on the class blog if you have any questions about using this wiki.
August 30: By now you have all created at least one page on this wiki - now it is time to edit the work that other people have done! By the end of Term 3 everyone must edit (e.g. add info or pictures, change formatting, create hyperlinks, add references) at least TWO pages that were created by someone else. You should also add a comment onto the page describing the changes you have made. Have fun!

Yes, please do create as many extra pages as you want - and do your best to link them together.
Make sure you include references for any info you use, especially if you have simply cut-and-paste the text from a source e.g. wikipedia. By the end of the term I'd like all pages to be written in 'you own words' i.e. not just info cut-and-paste...I could just use wikipedia if I wanted to!.

I *think* that you can see each others emails because you are all 'writers' on the wiki - I don't think ppl outside the wiki can see them...will check!

gee whiz...nothing doing on the wiki for one week and it is declared dead?? Seems a bit of a rash judgement to me ;)
I'll be issuing a final wiki cleanup and completion order at the end of next week. In the mean time, keep building the page/s that you initiated, and also try some editing and improving of other people's pages!
